Helping Women Reclaim Balance, Boundaries, and a Deeper Connection to Themselves

Have you ever felt like you’re never quite enough, or found yourself carrying the emotional weight of everyone around you? Maybe you’ve learned to put your own needs on the back burner while caring for others, only to feel depleted, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and meaningful change is possible. Together, we can begin shifting these patterns, strengthening boundaries, and helping you create a life that feels more balanced, grounded, and aligned with who you truly are.

“Let’s begin to develop and implement boundaries to fill your cup first and create lasting healthy relationships with yourself and those around you.”

Kristin believes that healing is not linear and that there is no “right” way for your journey to unfold. Therapy with Kristin moves at your pace, honoring the fact that you are the expert on your own life. She offers an empathetic, non-judgmental space where you can show up exactly as you are while building insight, self-compassion, and healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.

Anxiety, Overwhelm, and Emotional Burnout

Kristin specializes in working with women who experience ongoing anxiety, chronic stress, and emotional burnout. You may feel constantly “on,” struggle to quiet your thoughts, or feel overwhelmed by daily responsibilities. Often, anxiety shows up alongside people-pleasing, difficulty resting, or feeling responsible for keeping everything—and everyone—together.

In therapy, you’ll learn how to better understand your anxiety rather than fight it, develop tools to calm your nervous system, and create space for rest and self-compassion. The goal isn’t to eliminate anxiety entirely, but to help you relate to it differently so it no longer runs your life.

Perfectionism and High Achievers

If you’re a high achiever, you may appear capable and successful on the outside while feeling exhausted, self-critical, or never quite satisfied on the inside. Perfectionism often brings relentless pressure, fear of failure, difficulty slowing down, and a belief that your worth is tied to productivity or performance.

Kristin works with women who feel driven yet depleted, helping you untangle perfectionism from your sense of self-worth. Therapy can support you in developing healthier motivation, learning how to rest without guilt, and creating a life that feels sustainable, not just impressive.

Highly Sensitive People (HSPs)

As a highly sensitive person, you may feel emotions deeply, pick up easily on others’ moods, or feel overstimulated by noise, conflict, or busy environments. While sensitivity can be a powerful strength, it can also lead to overwhelm, anxiety, emotional exhaustion, and difficulty setting boundaries.

Kristin helps highly sensitive women better understand their nervous systems, honor their sensitivity without shame, and develop tools to feel more grounded and protected in daily life. Therapy can help you move from feeling overwhelmed by your sensitivity to embracing it as an important part of who you are.

Trauma and Healing the Mind–Body Connection

Kristin provides trauma-informed care for women who have experienced past trauma, difficult relationships, or distressing life events that continue to impact the present. Trauma can show up in many ways: anxiety, emotional reactivity, numbness, self-doubt, or feeling disconnected from your body.

Improving Relationships & Family Dynamics

You may find yourself stuck in repeating relationship patterns, feeling misunderstood, over-responsible, or emotionally drained in your relationships with partners or family members. Kristin works with women who want to improve their relationships by gaining deeper insight into attachment patterns, communication styles, boundaries, and family-of-origin dynamics.

Through a compassionate, trauma-informed approach, you’ll explore how past experiences influence your current relationships and learn healthier ways of relating to others and to yourself. This work is especially supportive if you struggle with people-pleasing, codependency, conflict avoidance, or relationship challenges during major life transitions, helping you build more secure, balanced, and fulfilling connections.

Motherhood, Postpartum Anxiety, Birth Trauma, and Life Transitions

If you are feeling more anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally raw since becoming a mother, you are not alone. You may notice intrusive thoughts, constant worry about your baby, difficulty resting or sleeping, or a sense that you are failing despite doing everything you can. If motherhood feels heavier or more intense than you expected, therapy can offer a supportive place to make sense of what you are experiencing.

Kristin specializes in working with women who are navigating postpartum anxiety and the emotional shifts that come with motherhood. You might feel pressure to do it all, guilt for needing help, or fear that something bad will happen if you are not constantly on alert. Kristin helps you understand these responses, calm your nervous system, and build tools to feel more grounded and confident in your role as a mother.

If you experienced a difficult or traumatic birth, you may still carry the emotional impact long after delivery. Birth trauma can include emergency interventions, feeling unheard or powerless during labor, unexpected outcomes, or medical experiences that felt frightening or overwhelming. You might notice lingering anxiety, fear, hypervigilance, emotional numbness, or a sense of disconnection from your body or your baby. Kristin offers a safe and compassionate space to process birth trauma at your pace and help you feel more present and at ease.

You may also be navigating major life transitions such as becoming a first-time parent, returning to work after maternity leave, expanding your family, or redefining your identity during motherhood. These changes can bring grief, uncertainty, and self-doubt alongside joy. Therapy can help you reconnect with yourself, normalize your emotions, and build confidence during these tender seasons of change.

Experienced EMDR Therapist

If you’ve found yourself feeling stuck, knowing something logically but still feeling emotionally triggered, EMDR can help bridge that gap. Kristin uses EMDR in a thoughtful, paced, and collaborative way, ensuring you feel safe, supported, and in control throughout the process. Therapy is never rushed, and your nervous system sets the timeline.

EMDR can be especially helpful if you experience anxiety, intrusive thoughts, emotional reactivity, people-pleasing patterns rooted in past experiences, or lingering effects from trauma that continue to show up in your relationships, sense of self, or body. Kristin integrates EMDR with a holistic, mind–body approach, helping you build regulation, self-trust, and resilience alongside trauma processing.

You don’t need to have a single “big trauma” for EMDR to be helpful. Many women seek EMDR for complex or cumulative experiences: relationships, childhood dynamics, or seasons of overwhelm that shaped how they learned to cope. Kristin meets you with compassion and care, helping you move forward with greater ease, clarity, and confidence.
