André Ligondé, MC, LCMHCA, is a licensed therapist in North Carolina and South Carolina who provides in-person counseling in our Charlotte office and virtual sessions across NC and SC. André specializes in supporting women through significant life transitions, helping clients make sense of their experiences, reconnect with themselves, and move forward with greater clarity and resilience.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand, or navigating a season of life that feels heavier than expected, therapy can offer a place to slow down and sort through what you are experiencing.
You may find yourself here because you’re navigating maternal, reproductive, or perinatal mental health experiences, whether that’s pregnancy, postpartum, fertility challenges, or pregnancy loss. You may also be moving through hormonal transitions like perimenopause or menopause, relationship stress, or questions around your identity and sense of self.
From the outside, it might look like you’re holding everything together, but inside, you may feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of what comes next. You don’t have to carry all of that on your own.
In therapy with André, you will find a calm, compassionate, and supportive space where you can explore your experiences without judgment. Her goal is to help you make sense of your emotions, understand the patterns shaping your life, and reconnect with your inner strengths.
André integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and client-centered therapy. This means your work together may include exploring different parts of yourself, understanding how past experiences influence the present, and developing greater self-awareness and self-compassion.
As a homeschool mother of five and an adoptive parent, André also brings lived understanding of the complexities of family life, motherhood, parenting stress, and balancing the many roles women carry. Her approach blends clinical training with genuine empathy and real-world understanding.
Therapy with André is collaborative and supportive. You will move at a pace that feels safe while developing insight, emotional clarity, and tools that help you navigate life more confidently.

Pregnancy, Postpartum & Motherhood
Pregnancy and early motherhood bring profound emotional and physical changes. Even when this season is meaningful and joyful, it can also feel overwhelming.
You may be experiencing postpartum anxiety, mood changes, identity shifts, or the pressure of trying to be everything for everyone.
Therapy offers a place where you can talk honestly about what motherhood feels like for you. André works with mothers to reduce overwhelm, strengthen support systems, and reconnect with their sense of self during this transformative season.

Fertility, Reproductive Health & Pregnancy Loss
The journey to growing your family can be deeply emotional, complex, and at times isolating. Whether you’re navigating fertility challenges, experiencing pregnancy loss, or facing difficult decisions around your reproductive health, this season can bring grief, uncertainty, and a sense of loss of control.
You may be experiencing cycles of hope and disappointment, heightened anxiety, or feeling disconnected from your body or those around you.
Therapy offers a supportive, nonjudgmental space to process these experiences at your own pace. André works with individuals and couples to navigate the emotional impact of fertility and reproductive challenges, build resilience, and find grounding during an often unpredictable journey.

Perimenopause & Menopause Support
Hormonal changes during perimenopause and menopause can impact mood, sleep, identity, relationships, and overall emotional wellbeing. Many women describe feeling unlike themselves during this stage of life.
If you are experiencing increased anxiety, irritability, mood changes, or a sense of losing your emotional footing, therapy can help you better understand what is happening.
In sessions with André, you can explore both the emotional and life changes that often accompany this stage, while developing supportive strategies that help you feel more grounded and balanced.

Anxiety & Stress
Anxiety and chronic stress can leave you feeling constantly on edge, overthinking the future, or struggling to slow down your mind. You may feel pressure to keep everything together while internally feeling overwhelmed.
Therapy can help you better understand the patterns behind your anxiety while developing tools that support emotional regulation, self-awareness, and a greater sense of calm and control.

Trauma & Generational Trauma
Sometimes your reactions, fears, or relationship patterns make sense when you look at the experiences that shaped you.
Trauma can influence how you see yourself, how safe you feel in relationships, and how you respond to stress. In some cases, these patterns may even have roots in family or generational experiences.
Through trauma-informed therapy, you can begin to understand these patterns with compassion, process painful experiences, and develop a stronger sense of personal agency and emotional freedom.

Relationship Challenges
Relationships are deeply meaningful, but they can also be complex and emotionally draining.
You may be navigating communication struggles, recurring conflict, emotional disconnection, or patterns in dating or family relationships that leave you feeling stuck.
In therapy, you can begin to understand your relationship patterns more clearly while learning new ways to communicate, set boundaries, and build healthier connections.

Identity Development & Self-Discovery
At different points in life, you may find yourself questioning who you are, what you want, or how your past experiences have shaped your identity.
Therapy can offer a space to explore these questions with curiosity and compassion. Through this work, many clients begin to develop greater self-understanding, confidence, and alignment with their values and goals.

Young Adults & Teen Girls
The transition into adolescence and young adulthood can bring unique pressures related to identity, relationships, academic stress, and emotional wellbeing.
André works with teen girls and young women who may be navigating anxiety, self-esteem challenges, family stress, or uncertainty about their future. Therapy provides a supportive space where younger clients can explore their experiences and develop confidence, resilience, and healthy coping skills.

Faith & Spiritual Support
For clients who would find it meaningful, André is able to incorporate Christian counseling into the therapeutic process by request. She is also open to supporting individuals as they explore their spiritual journey, whatever that may look like for them.
Faith or spirituality can be a meaningful source of strength and reflection for many people, and André welcomes these conversations when they are helpful to the client. At the same time, this approach is always client-led and never assumed or imposed.

Her Approach
André’s approach to therapy is collaborative, thoughtful, and focused on helping you understand the deeper patterns influencing your emotions, relationships, and life experiences. She integrates several therapeutic approaches, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and client-centered therapy.
In your work together, you may explore the different “parts” of yourself through Internal Family Systems, helping you understand why certain thoughts, emotions, or reactions show up and how to respond to them with greater self-compassion. Psychodynamic therapy helps you make sense of how past experiences and relationships may still be shaping your present-day patterns. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) focuses on identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors, supporting you in developing more balanced thinking and effective coping strategies. Throughout this process, André maintains a client-centered approach, creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and respected.
Together, these approaches can help you develop greater self-awareness, emotional clarity, and healthier ways of navigating relationships, stress, and life transitions. As a homeschool mother of five and an adoptive parent, André also brings lived understanding of the complexities of family life, motherhood, parenting stress, and balancing the many roles women often carry. She combines her clinical training with empathy and real-world understanding to support you in a practical and compassionate way.
In therapy with André, you can move at a pace that feels safe while gaining insight, emotional resilience, and tools that help you navigate life with greater clarity and confidence.
