André Ligondé, MC, LCMHCA, is a licensed therapist in North Carolina and South Carolina who provides in-person counseling in our Charlotte office and virtual therapy sessions across NC and SC. André specializes in helping women navigate anxiety, identity shifts, relationship challenges, motherhood, trauma, and major life transitions while reconnecting with themselves and building lives that feel more authentic, grounded, and fulfilling.
You may feel like you’ve lost yourself somewhere along the way. Maybe you’ve spent so much time caring for others, surviving difficult experiences, navigating relationship pain, or trying to hold everything together that you no longer feel connected to who you are anymore. You may feel emotionally overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, stuck in painful patterns, or unsure of what you truly want and need in this season of life.
For some women, these struggles begin during motherhood or the postpartum period. You may be navigating the emotional weight of becoming a mother, breastfeeding challenges, postpartum anxiety, shifting roles within your relationship, or the pressure to be everything for everyone while quietly feeling overwhelmed underneath the surface. For others, the pain may stem from relationship betrayal, divorce, unresolved trauma, people pleasing, low self-worth, or years of putting your own needs aside.
Young adulthood and major life transitions can also bring unexpected anxiety, confusion, and emotional stress. You may feel uncertain about your future, relationships, career path, identity, or where you truly belong. Hormonal changes during perimenopause can also leave women feeling emotionally unlike themselves, exhausted, reactive, anxious, or disconnected in ways that are difficult to explain to others.
From the outside, it may look like you are functioning well, but internally you may feel emotionally drained, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure of what comes next. Therapy offers a space where you no longer have to carry all of that alone.
In therapy with André, you will find a calm, compassionate, and supportive space where you can explore your experiences without judgment. Her approach is deeply relational, empathetic, and rooted in helping women better understand themselves. André’s goal is to help you make sense of your emotions, recognize the patterns shaping your life, reconnect with your strengths, and build a stronger sense of confidence, clarity, and self-trust.
André integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and client-centered therapy. This means your work together may include exploring different parts of yourself, understanding how past experiences continue to impact the present, developing insight into relationship patterns, and learning healthier ways to navigate emotions, stress, and life transitions.
As a homeschool mother of five and an adoptive parent, André also brings lived understanding of the complexities of motherhood, parenting stress, family life, and balancing the many roles women carry. Her approach blends clinical training with genuine empathy, warmth, and real-world understanding.
Therapy with André is collaborative and supportive. You will move at a pace that feels safe while developing greater self-awareness, emotional clarity, and tools to help you navigate life with more confidence, connection, and compassion for yourself.

Anxiety & Stress
You may feel like your mind never fully slows down. Constant overthinking, emotional overwhelm, racing thoughts, irritability, or feeling “on edge” can make even everyday responsibilities feel exhausting. You might appear calm and capable on the outside while internally carrying chronic stress, pressure, and anxiety that few people fully see. Therapy with André offers a space to slow down, better understand your emotional patterns, calm your nervous system, and begin creating a life that feels more manageable, grounded, and connected.

New Moms & Postpartum Support
Motherhood can bring love and meaning while also feeling incredibly overwhelming and emotionally consuming. You may feel anxious, disconnected from yourself, emotionally exhausted, overstimulated, or unsure why this season feels harder than you expected. The transition into motherhood often impacts identity, relationships, confidence, and emotional wellbeing in ways many women are not prepared for. André provides compassionate support for new mothers navigating postpartum anxiety, identity shifts, emotional overwhelm, and the pressure to hold everything together while caring for everyone else.

Breastfeeding Challenges
Breastfeeding can be deeply emotional, physically demanding, and far more complicated than many women expect. You may feel guilt, shame, grief, frustration, anxiety, or pressure surrounding feeding decisions, supply struggles, pain, or the emotional weight of trying to do what feels “right” for your baby. Therapy can provide a supportive space to process these experiences without judgment and help you reconnect with yourself outside of the pressure and expectations surrounding motherhood.

Relationship Challenges, Divorce & Betrayal Trauma
Relationship pain can deeply impact your sense of safety, self-worth, and identity. Whether you are navigating communication struggles, emotional disconnection, betrayal, divorce, or unhealthy relationship dynamics, you may feel overwhelmed, heartbroken, confused, or unsure how to move forward. Therapy with André offers a compassionate space to process relationship wounds, understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck, strengthen boundaries, and reconnect with your own voice, needs, and emotional wellbeing.

Perimenopause & Hormonal Changes
Hormonal changes can impact emotional health in ways that feel confusing, frustrating, and deeply isolating. During perimenopause, many women experience increased anxiety, mood changes, irritability, emotional sensitivity, exhaustion, sleep disruption, and a sense of feeling unlike themselves. You may feel disconnected from your body, emotionally reactive, or overwhelmed by changes you cannot fully explain. André offers a supportive, validating space to help women navigate these transitions with greater understanding, self-compassion, and emotional support.

Trauma & PTSD
Trauma can continue affecting your life long after difficult experiences have ended. You may find yourself emotionally reactive, disconnected, hypervigilant, anxious, emotionally numb, or stuck in survival mode without fully understanding why. Past experiences can shape how you see yourself, your relationships, and the world around you. André uses a trauma-informed approach to help you safely explore unresolved pain, better understand your emotional responses, and move toward healing with greater self-compassion, emotional safety, and self-trust.

Relationship Challenges
Relationship pain can deeply impact your sense of safety, self-worth, and identity. Whether you are navigating communication struggles, emotional disconnection, betrayal, divorce, or unhealthy relationship dynamics, you may feel overwhelmed, heartbroken, confused, or unsure how to move forward. Therapy with André offers a compassionate space to process relationship wounds, understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck, strengthen boundaries, and reconnect with your own voice, needs, and emotional wellbeing.

Identity Development & Self-Discovery
Many women spend years prioritizing others while losing connection with themselves in the process. You may struggle with people pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, low self-worth, or feeling unsure of who you are outside of your responsibilities and relationships. Therapy with André focuses on helping women reconnect with their identity, strengthen self-trust, understand the patterns shaping their lives, and begin building a life that feels more authentic and aligned with who they truly are.

Young Adults & Life Transitions
Young adulthood and major life transitions can feel exciting, confusing, overwhelming, and isolating all at once. You may feel uncertain about your identity, relationships, career path, purpose, or where you truly belong. Major changes such as graduating, moving, career shifts, motherhood, relationship changes, or entering a new season of life can leave women feeling disconnected from themselves and unsure of what comes next. Therapy offers a space to explore who you are, what matters to you, and how to move through change with greater clarity and confidence.

Faith & Spiritual Support
For clients who would find it meaningful, André is able to incorporate Christian counseling into the therapeutic process by request. She is also open to supporting individuals as they explore their spiritual journey, whatever that may look like for them.
Faith or spirituality can be a meaningful source of strength and reflection for many people, and André welcomes these conversations when they are helpful to the client. At the same time, this approach is always client-led and never assumed or imposed.

Her Approach
André’s approach to therapy is collaborative, thoughtful, and focused on helping you understand the deeper patterns influencing your emotions, relationships, and life experiences. She integrates several therapeutic approaches, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and client-centered therapy.
In your work together, you may explore the different “parts” of yourself through Internal Family Systems, helping you understand why certain thoughts, emotions, or reactions show up and how to respond to them with greater self-compassion. Psychodynamic therapy helps you make sense of how past experiences and relationships may still be shaping your present-day patterns. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) focuses on identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors, supporting you in developing more balanced thinking and effective coping strategies. Throughout this process, André maintains a client-centered approach, creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and respected.
Together, these approaches can help you develop greater self-awareness, emotional clarity, and healthier ways of navigating relationships, stress, and life transitions. As a homeschool mother of five and an adoptive parent, André also brings lived understanding of the complexities of family life, motherhood, parenting stress, and balancing the many roles women often carry. She combines her clinical training with empathy and real-world understanding to support you in a practical and compassionate way.
In therapy with André, you can move at a pace that feels safe while gaining insight, emotional resilience, and tools that help you navigate life with greater clarity and confidence.
