Are You Struggling With Anxiety?

Therapy For Anxiety

Anxiety is incredibly common – up to one third of the population is said to suffer from anxiety disorders. Despite how prevalent anxiety is, there’s a lot of stigma that comes with asking for help. While we might try to rely on our friends and family for support, there’s nothing quite like the judgment-free guidance of a trusted therapist.

Anxiety sometimes makes it difficult to communicate your needs. That makes asking for help a challenge. Making the decision to seek therapy can be a great first step to living an anxiety-free life.

Therapy Techniques

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) are both incredibly effective in addressing anxiety. Another approach Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), focuses on the impact of anxiety, or other negative emotions, in the body first; eventually leading to changes in our thought processes.

Using these tools, your therapist can help you understand your unique thought patterns and spot them as they come up in daily life. By recognizing unhealthy thoughts and their connection to your anxiety, you’ll begin to adjust your reaction to such patterns.

Past Trauma

Trauma from your past often informs current anxieties. By delving into the root cause of such worries, you can remedy any lingering issues or concerns. While recalling past trauma can be a painful process, it’s often the key to developing a healthier mindset.

Mind, Body, & Spirit Connection

We believe in the connection between the mind, body and spirit. That’s why we take an integrative holistic approach to treatment. We address anxiety from every angle. A little balance between the body and mind can do wonders for the soul! Don’t let anxiety stop you from living your life. Contact us today to schedule an appointment.
